Couple Up for Fitness - Monday, February 26
University of Denver research found that couples who spend more time together — away from financial, family, or other stresses — are more likely to survive marital or partnership crises.
One good way to fit in more quality time is to exercise together. Explore a new activity or revisit a favorite:
Go for a walk, run, or hike. Take time to focus on each other and strengthen your bond, rediscovering what brought you together.
Go for a bike ride. Strap on backpacks with healthy snacks and drinks, and get ready to explore the outdoors side by side.
Surf, paddle board, or swim. Spend the day frolicking in the waves together.
Play tennis. Get a friendly competition going by playing as partners or opposite each other. If tennis isn’t your game, try badminton, ping-pong, basketball, or a round of golf.
Hit the dance floor. Head to a club or sign up for a class. Don’t be afraid to try something different. Salsa, flamenco, hula, ballroom, tango — any form of dance can provide a fun experience you both will enjoy.
