Get the Giggles - Friday, March 22
It’s amazing what a simple laugh can do: release stress, speed healing, and bring people closer together. Research suggests laughter can even help improve memory. And it’s much easier to laugh in a group than by yourself. Why not share those good feelings and build better relationships throughout your community? Organize some funny festivities:
Movie night. Pull out the popcorn! Screen your favorite comedies or even silly home videos. Go online to pull up TV’s best clips, skits, and bloopers to get great guffaws.
Talent show. Good-natured giggles are contagious, setting a fun mood where nervousness melts away. Invite friends and neighbors to perform stunts, tell stories, and act out comedy sketches. Give a child a joke book and you’ll both delight in the delivery.
Playful pastime. Goofy games that get you moving can also get you chuckling. Chasing games such as sock steal and blind man’s bluff are always hilarious. Or try 1-minute challenges like stacking 3 golf balls.
How will you spread laughter this week?
