Setting Up Your Environment for Success - Friday, February 02
A big part of successful behavior change is planning and preparation. Take some time today to think about how to make your home environment a wellness ally. When the way you live supports a healthy lifestyle, the rest will fall in line. Here are some ways to make good habits easier to choose:
Ditch the cookie jar and replace it with a bowl of fresh fruit on the counter. It looks appetizing and is good for you.
Keep your exercise gear clean and ready to go. Set out your workout clothes, shoes, and equipment the night before.
Be organized. Have a calendar in sight with days and times blocked out for physical activity.
Keep your treadmill or step machine near a window, if possible, and with plenty of light; use it only for exercise. If space allows, have an area dedicated to fitness equipment.
