Have you become a creature of habit? If you feel like nothing is new, the answer may be as simple as changing your routine. Being stuck in a rut doesn’t have to be a long-term problem. By following some of these tips, you can feel fresh and revitalized:
- List 20 things you’d like to do at some point in your life — today is the time to start
- Drive to a different trail or neighborhood and go for a long walk
- Rearrange your furniture — a new perspective on a familiar space can change your mood
- Go to a restaurant you’ve never tried and choose a new healthy entree
- Promise yourself that for every hour of activity you’ll be rewarded with 15 minutes of TV or computer time
- Shop at a specialty grocery and pick out 3-4 fruits or vegetables you’ve never had
- Sign up for a weekend basketball or volleyball league.
