Interested in buying a little time? Here’s how to find it:

  • Plan your week, not just your day. Take some time on a day off to organize your tasks and to-dos. Jot down everything and space it out across the next 7 days. You’ll feel prepared and may be less overwhelmed at the sense of urgency behind certain responsibilities.

  • Focus on today. If you find yourself in the middle of a busy Tuesday, and your eyes drift over to Wednesday’s list… stop right there. Let Wednesday be Wednesday. Just because you can look ahead to other stuff doesn’t mean you have to do it right now. Let the day’s tasks be sufficient.

  • Do one less thing. In a world that never stops moving, doing less could seem crazy… even lazy. But downtime is critical to regrouping, connecting, and feeling your best. Without it, things fall apart. Even if everything on your to-do list seems crucial, step back, be as rational as possible, and slice.

Finish that book on your nightstand? Start that house project? Think of what you can do with your newfound time.
